Who We Are
Green Dragon Solutions is an independent health and safety consultancy in Newcastle upon Tyne. Since launching in 2003, we have helped businesses on a regional, national, and international scale improve their safety and services with our tailored solutions.
Our mission is to ensure that people finish each working day as healthy as they started it.
We aim to provide no-nonsense, practical support that companies from all industries and sectors can embed into their organisation. With over 50 years of Health and Safety experience we have a proven track record for helping clients to make essential improvements to their business.
Ian Hughes
Ian is the Managing Director of Green Dragon Solutions. With over 50 years of experience, Ian has worked across many different sectors and businesses. For Ian, there is nothing more rewarding than talking with the decision makers, and seeing the benefits of the safety measures we work with our customers to implement.
Green Dragon works with companies ranging from self-employed painters and decorators to multi-million-pound businesses that operate internationally.
Ian has been involved in all aspects of safety since being co-opted on to a British Railways workshop safety committee in 1979 as the apprentices’ representative.
He has worked with the likes of British Railways, The National Freight Corporation, British Road Services, Ford Motor Company, Monsanto, Nuttalls, Fairclough, The MOD, The Defence Estates, Caterpillar, Kellogg Brown Root, Kuwaiti Dynamics Ltd (KDL) and General Electric.
Ian has worked in the UK, Europe and the Middle East.
